2/3 cup milk
1 tspn lemon juice
4 tblspns pale rum
pinch salt

syrup:
2 oz  / 55g butter
4 tblspn  firmly packed golden brown sugar
4 tblspns  pale rum

caramel buttermilk frosting:

4 oz / 110 g butter

1/2 cup milk

1 tspn lemon juice

2 tblspns golden syrup

1 tspn baking powder


 

time: 1 hr

  • electric beaters
  • mixing bowl
  • 8 inch cake pan
  • kitchen scales
